Thieu Tri 5 Tien ND (1841-1848) MS65 NGC, KM282, Schr-243, S&H-4.6.2. 19.08gm. Currently the only example of this lesser-seen type certified by NGC, this gem-quality representative necessarily impresses the viewer through a forceful combination of freshly lustrous fields and a delightful cabinet tone that darkens subtly to the obverse peripheries. Though noted as a 7 Tien on the holder insert, the offering appears to be a 5 Tien based on the stated weight of 19.08 grams. Extremely rare in this grade, and a likely unique chance for most bidders to acquire such a conditionally fine specimen.
