Description
Republic silver Specimen Essai Patacon 1879 SP63 PCGS, Brussels mint, KM-XE6, Guttag-211A, Janson-25.1. By C. Wurden. The largest of these Wurden patterns struck for Argentina in Brussels. Only three previous occurrences of this denomination struck in silver have crossed our auction block, so opportunities to acquire such an example are fleeting at best. Hues of violet and baby blue intermingle atop the mirrored finish, creating an echo effect around the peripheral legends while the motifs stand in stark relief to the lower-lying fields.Ex.
