    Description

    1920 Assay Commission Medal. MS62 Uncertified. Julian AC-64, R.5. Bronze, 51.0 mm., 717.6 grains. Woodrow Wilson faces left with his name in the fields. The reverse depicts a seated figure, facing forward, symbolizing victory, a sword held to her right and an olive branch in her left hand, VICTORY and PEACE to the left and right with the date below. Around the rim is the legend MINT OF THE UNITED STATES ANNUAL ASSAY. At the lower right, an M identifies George Morgan as the engraver. Matte yellow-bronze surfaces with some deeper brown toning have traces of lacquer present.
