Signed 1975 Assay Commission Medal, Julian AC-119
1975 Assay Commission Medal. MS65 Uncertified. Julian AC-119, R.7. Bronze, 57.1 mm., 1,611.1 grains. The obverse has a facing bust of President Gerald R. Ford, his name above. F. GASPARRO appears on the bust truncation. The reverse depicts Martha Washington inspecting the first coinage of 1792 half dismes, with several witnesses. Above, ANNUAL ASSAY and below, PHILADELPHIA, 1792-1975. This is a signed medal with the name Ed Black neatly engraved in the upper reverse field. Edward J. Black was a member of the 1975 Assay Commission. Bright yellow-bronze and essentially as struck, although a few faint hairlines are visible. Housed in the original case of issue.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 7HV6, PCGS# 661000)
