Description

Austrian Netherlands. Silver 3 Florins 1790, D-1285, 32.27g, MS62 NGC. Brussels. In 1789, the Estate of Brabant revolted, and other estates quickly followed Brabant's example. Independence was declared in 1790. Austria suppressed the revolt in November 1790 only to have the provinces invaded by French revolutionary armies two years later. Well-struck with no adjustment marks. A superior type specimen.
