Eggenberg. Johann Christoph Taler 1658 AU58 NGC, KM39, Dav-3395. One-year type. Choice for the issue, this elusive taler showcases a wonderfully detailed strike and subtle purple tone in the central fields that transitions to deeper hue around the obverse legends. Only the second example of this type we've sold, the last, a cleaned and previously mounted piece, appearing well over a decade ago in our June 2004 Signature auction.From the Jamestown Collection
