Description

1893-S 10C MS 64 NGC. Within the early Barber dime series, the '93-S is perhaps the easiest San Francisco Mint delivery to obtain through the higher circulated grades. Above AU 58, however, this issue readily reveals its elusiveness. Richly toned in antique-russet hues with streaky charcoal overtones, this is a lovely example for proponents of originality. Well struck and essentially smooth, the lustrous surfaces are indicative of an even higher grade assessment. The mintmark reveals pronounced doubling to the left.
