Description

Striking MS64 1895-O Dime

1895-O 10C MS64 PCGS. CAC. Aside from the legendary 1894-S rarity, the most elusive Barber dime is the 1895-O. Just 440,000 pieces were struck, and it commands high prices from Good to Mint State, towering over the rest of its regularly struck competition. The present near-Gem offers delightful eye appeal. Blue-green, peach, and pale silver-gray shadings are dominant, with strong luster shining beneath. The obverse exhibits considerable frost on the portrait, while the well-defined reverse lacks the degree of frost but offers a level of reflectivity in the fields. Population: 6 in 64, 11 finer (4/09).(Registry values: N4719)
