1896-O Dime, Strong MS64
Difficult in High Grades
1896-O 10C MS64 NGC. Satiny mint luster and pale
peach-orange accents swirl around brilliant centers. Remarkably
strong for a New Orleans Mint dime. The 1896-O stands out as one of
the lower-mintage and conditionally challenging issues in the
Barber dime series. Only 610,000 coins were struck, and the average
certified assessment is just below VF25, making this coin a
particularly high-end survivor. NGC Census: 9 in 64, 11 finer
