1896-S Barber Dime, MS65
Semikey Issue, Scarce This Nice
1896-S 10C MS65 PCGS. Untoned and frost-white, this Gem
S-Mint dime is brightly lustrous and sharply struck. A pair of tiny
ticks on the nose and neck and a short reeding mark above E in ONE
are the sole marks to report but they are of little concern -- the
fields are entirely free of abrasions. Despite a mintage of more
than 575,000 pieces, fewer than three dozen pieces at PCGS and NGC
combined have attained a finer grade. Population: 15 in 65, 18
