Description
1897 Barber Dime, MS67
Conditionally Rare, Ex: Duckor
1897 10C MS67 PCGS. This Superb Gem has frosty luster with
exceptional toning. The surfaces are mostly olive-gold, rose, and
pale violet with brilliant untoned areas on both sides. The 1897
Barber dime is somewhat more elusive in high grades than its
mintage in excess of 10 million coins would suggest. The leading
grading services have certified only a handful of coins at the MS67
numerical level, these being the finest known of the issue and of
unparalleled importance to the Registry Set competitor. Population:
5 in 67 (2 in 67+), 0 finer (5/16).Ex: Duckor Collection / FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2006), lot 984; Lily Nicole Collection (Heritage, 1/2016), lot 3790.(Registry values: N2998)
