1897 Barber Dime, MS67
One Numerically Finer at PCGS
1897 10C MS67 PCGS. Strong mint luster rolls across the
frosted surfaces of this Superb Gem dime, one of just 30 examples
of the issue to achieve the grade at both services combined (with
two coins numerically finer) (1/26). Reddish-orange luster
highlights the obverse margins, while teal, lilac, and silver-rose
toning blankets the reverse. The strike is razor-sharp, and the
surfaces are nearly unmarked except for a shallow nick above E of
ONE. PCGS Population: 15 in 67 (2 in 67+), 1 finer (1/26).Ex: Central States Signature (Heritage, 4-5/2016), lot 3273.(Registry values: N2998)
