Description

1897 10C MS 66 NGC. A virtually unimprovable Barber dime. The features are boldly struck and the surfaces are devoid of even the most trivial abrasion. Golden-russet toning dominates the obverse and yields to electric-blue iridescence about the left periphery. In stark contrast, the reverse displays intense electric-blue peripheral color about the lightly toned, golden-gray center. A lovely type coin candidate whose aesthetic allure matches its technical superiority. Population: 12 in 66, 3 finer (9/99).
