    Description

1897-O Barber Dime Condition Rarity, MS65 NGC

1897-O 10C MS65 NGC. While not quite as rare as the 1896-O, the 1897-O is still a challenging coin to locate in most grades. At the Gem level of preservation, this date is rare. The first certified MS65 survivor to appear in one of our auctions since 2000, this satiny representative is untoned with the exception of delicate golden rim accents. The sharp strike is impressive for an O-mint Barber coin, and the smooth, virtually distraction-free surfaces are accurately graded. Population: 9 in 65, there are just two finer (7/02).
From the Ronald Bozarth Collection. (NGC ID# 23E4, PCGS# 4813)

    Weight: 2.49 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper

The marketing was exceptional from the photos to the ads in Civil War Times and North South Trader for the cross over people!!! I have had many emails from my Civil War collecting fraternity that saw these and I saw them at the national show in Nashville/Franklin in early December.
