Description
Sparkling Toned Premium Gem 1897-O Dime
1897-O 10C MS66 PCGS. The '97-O is another elusive early O-mint Barber dime. This is a well struck Premium Gem of this scarce date which shows beautiful iridescent blue, green and gold peripheral toning on both sides. The surfaces are very attractive, with no distractions aside from faint lines on Liberty's cheek and neck. The centers are bright and frosty. Sharp on the reverse wreath except for the finest details on the lowest inside left leaf. NGC and PCGS have graded 12 pieces this high, with four specimens seen finer (11/04).(#4813) (Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23E4, PCGS# 4813, GSID# 4357)
