Description
Beautiful Superb Gem 1897-O Dime
1897-O 10C MS67 PCGS. Lush apricot-gold and lime-green colors adorn this lustrous, exquisitely struck, and essentially pristine Superb Gem. The mintage of the 1897-O Dime is a mere 666,000 pieces, which is among the lowest productions of the type. Not surprisingly, the date resides high on the want lists of Barber specialists. Among the few dozen pieces certified in Mint State by PCGS, the majority are in MS62 to MS64 grades. Gems are rare, and Superb Gems are virtually unheard of. Population: 4 in 67, none finer (11/04).(#4813) (Registry values: N7079)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23E4, PCGS# 4813, GSID# 4357)
