Description

1898-O Dime, MS66
Only Four Finer at Both Services

1898-O 10C MS66 PCGS. Russet-brown, sage-green, and deep-blue highlight powdery gray surfaces that give a stunning eye appeal. All design elements are well defined. Despite the sizable mintage of more than 2 million coins, the 1898-O is one of the rarest issues in Gem condition, with just 35 to 40 estimated survivors according to Bowers. Grading service population data underscore the elusivity of this issue, and only three finer certifications have been recorded at PCGS, with just one at NGC (2/26).(Registry values: N4719)
