Not Sold Description
1898-O MS 66 PCGS. A rare date in mint state, considered an R.6 issue in uncirculated, and one of the major strike rarities in the series. This piece is slightly better struck than most with LIBER showing on the headband (many show no letters). Highly lustrous and moderately toned at the obverse periphery. The reverse is somewhat deeper in color with a gray-rose center, and gunmetal-blue at the border. As such, this should be of interest to specialists in the series. Population: 3 in 66, none finer.
