Description

1899-O 10C MS65 NGC. High-end 1899-O dimes are infrequently offered, as the issue was not well-saved due to heavy circulation and waning numismatic interest in the series. We have handled only six pieces in MS65 or finer over the past 10 years. This Gem displays satiny mint luster on lilac-silver surfaces, with the only noted distraction being a tiny speck over ONE. The devices are well-struck and exhibit only slight softness on the reverse, and light die clashing is seen on both sides. NGC reports just three finer examples (2/26). NGC Census: 8 in 65, 3 finer (3/26).
