Description
1899-S Dime, Impeccable MS67
Condition Rarity
1899-S 10C MS67 PCGS. CAC. Pretty pale blue, heather, and
golden-lilac tones enliven each side of this nicely preserved
Superb Gem 1899-S dime, one of only four to achieve this highest
numerical grade at PCGS. The surfaces show equally impeccable
preservation on each side, and a couple of tiny dark flecks in
Liberty's headgear are scarcely worth mentioning. Despite the
moderate mintage of more than 1.8 million coins, the 1899-S dime is
quite a conditional rarity at the Superb Gem level, as only six
show in the combined population data of PCGS and NGC (12/14). This
is one of three such with the CAC green approval.(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23EB, PCGS# 4820, GSID# 4362)
