Description

1900-O 10C MS64 NGC. The New Orleans Mint produced a not insignificant total of 2 million Dimes in 1900. Believe it or not, the 1900-O is the most underappreciated rarity in this series (per David Lawrence). Even well worn examples are elusive, and those Mint State survivors that approach the Gem threshold are rare. The present lot offers a brilliant-white example whose devices reveal needle sharp striking definition throughout. As befits the assigned grade, the surfaces are devoid of singularly distracting bagmarks. Census: 14 in 64, 15 finer (9/11).(Registry values: N2998)
