Description

Brilliant, Near-Gem 1900-S Barber Dime

1900-S 10C MS64 NGC. A much scarcer San Francisco issue, this original example offers extremely frosty surfaces that are fully brilliant and completely untoned. Each side imparts a satiny appearance and the details are well brought up. Three small die cracks are noted on the obverse; one at the point of the truncation of Liberty's bust to the edge, one from the lower ribbon end to the left bust truncation, and a diagonal crack through the 9 and 0 of the date. Clearly graced with more than its share of eye appeal, this near-Gem belongs in a fine collection.(#4823) (Registry values: N991)
