Description
1901-O Dime, MS65
Rarely Offered in High Grades
1901-O 10C MS65 PCGS. This moderately scarce Louisiana issue
ranks within the top 20% of Barber dime rarities despite an
innocuous mintage of 5.6 million coins. The impression is
razor-sharp, showing exceptional detail on the upper wreath
elements in particular for a New Orleans coin. Dusky tan-gold and
lavender-gray hues grace predominantly silver surfaces. A set of
reeding marks on the neck defines the grade. Population: 11 in 65,
8 finer (1/18).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23EG, PCGS# 4825, GSID# 4365)
