Description
Underrated 1902-O Dime, MS66
1902-O 10C MS66 NGC. Mostly white with hints of straw-gold toning around the reverse periphery. The strike is generally sharp, although we note a touch of weakness on the right obverse legend. One of the scarcest dates to find in upper Mint State grades, and worthy of the finest collection. Minor die clashing is seen within the reverse wreath. NGC and PCGS have graded four other pieces this high, with a single coin finer (3/10).Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2005), lot 4031, which realized $4,312.50.(Registry values: N4719)
