1903 Barber Dime, MS67
Tied With Two Others for Finest Certified
1903 10C MS67 PCGS. CAC. Ex: Lily Nicole Collection. The
1903, with a sizable mintage of more than 19.5 million pieces, is a
common date in lower grades, but becomes difficult to obtain in
Mint State. In Premium Gem, the issue is notably rare, and finer
pieces are exceedingly so. This piece is one of only three MS67
coins certified by PCGS and NGC combined (two at PCGS and one at
NGC), with none finer (2/15). Soft luster shows through variegated
cobalt-blue, lavender, and golden-tan patination, and the design
elements are nicely struck throughout. There are no mentionable
contact marks to report.Ex: ANA Signature (Heritage, 4/2006), lot 435.
