Description
1904-S Dime, MS65
Only One Finer at NGC
1904-S 10C MS65 NGC. The 1904-S is one of 14 issues in the
Barber dime series with a mintage figure of less than 1 million
pieces; in this case, only 800,000 coins were struck. Bright mint
luster covers both sides of this lovely untoned Gem. The piece is a
bit softly struck at the top of Liberty's head, but is otherwise
well-defined. Several wispy die cracks appear on the obverse. The
census figures have not changed in the intervening five years since
this coin was offered at Central States in 2008, remaining at five
in 65, one finer (4/14).Ex: Dallas Signature (Heritage, 7/2006), lot 658; Central States Signature (Heritage, 4/2008), lot 621.(Registry values: N2998)
