Description

1904-S Dime, MS66+
Richly Toned Condition Rarity

1904-S 10C MS66+ PCGS. CAC. With just 800,000 pieces produced, the 1904-S is one of the lesser-known yet still challenging issues in the Barber dime series, particularly in the higher circulated and Mint State grade ranges. This impressively preserved MS66+ coin is notable for its softly lustrous surfaces, pearl-gray with a hint of rose on the interiors that blossoms into rich reddish-orange and brick hues at the margins. Liberty's hair offers above-average detail despite a touch of softness. PCGS has graded only a dozen coins at the Premium Gem and higher levels: 9 in 66, 2 in 66+, and 1 finer (12/14).(Registry values: N4719)
