Description

Rarely Encountered 1905 Micro O Dime, MS62

1905-O 10C Micro O MS62 PCGS. It is believed the mintmark punch used on the Micro O dime was actually intended for a quarter die. The difference between the normal mintmark and the Micro O is easily discernable. The normal mintmark is tall and oval-shaped, while the Micro O is much smaller and nearly round. This is a brilliant coin that exhibits bright, satiny mint luster. Both sides show numerous small abrasions that undoubtedly account for the grade. Population: 1 in 62, 4 finer (2/10).(Registry values: P5)
