Among the Finest at Both Services

1906 10C MS67 PCGS. CAC. Lavish blue-green toning covers the obverse, while golden-brown and lemon-yellow tints grace the reverse. This softly frosted Superb Gem displays splendid eye appeal. The strike is complete, and marks are essentially absent. An outstanding candidate for a high-quality 20th century type set.

Population Data (3/15): This MS67 coin is tied for finest at PCGS with four other submissions, while NGC reports four grading events in MS67 and none finer.

Heritage Commentary: The year 1906 was the first in which all four mints engaged in producing Barber dimes, as the Denver Mint opened on February 1. The Philadelphia Mint coined nearly 20 million pieces, while output at the three branch mints totaled just under 10 million coins combined. Still, Superb Gems such as this are condition rarities.
