Description

1906-S Barber Dime, MS67
Tied for Finest at PCGS

1906-S 10C MS67 PCGS. While most 1906-S dimes entered the channels of commerce shortly after striking, the issue is one of the more available of San Francisco coins in Mint condition, at least through near-Gem. The 1906-S is an important condition rarity in MS67, however. PCGS and NGC report only five specimens in this grade and none finer.

Whispers of russet patina visit the highly lustrous surfaces of the present coin, accented with hints of soft bluish-gray. The design elements are sharply impressed and both sides have been nicely preserved. These attributes combine to yield pleasing overall eye appeal. Population: 3 in 67, 0 finer (5/16).
