Description

Satiny White Gem Mint State 1909-D Barber Dime

1909-D 10C MS66 PCGS. The 1909-D is a difficult to find later date. Its mintage is low with fewer than a million pieces struck, and the '09-D for some unknown reason was ignored relative to other dates in the series. Sparkling white in color with boldly executed devices. Close examination of the surfaces notes the faintest signs of handling, but this specimen is far and away finer than virtually all others of this date. NGC and PCGS have graded a combined six this high, with a single specimen graded finer. This is a coin that any specialist will long enjoy.(#4851) (Registry values: N2998)
