    Description

MS67 1910-D Barber Dime, Tied For Finest Known

1910-D 10C MS67 NGC. The 1910-D is probably the second or third (1909-D and 1907-D are more difficult) most challenging D-mint in the series. It is very seldom offered as a premium quality Gem and virtually never as a Superb Gem. NGC and PCGS each report just one coin in MS67, with none finer at both grading services combined (11/04). Attractive multicolored iridescence dominates the obverse border with sea-green and magenta accented with antique-gold. The reverse is somewhat lighter with silver-gray patina edged with warm golden-brown. The luster is fully frosted in sheen, and the surfaces are devoid of any grade-limiting contact marks. Crisp striking detail shows overall including the lower right wreath, upper left wreath, and the corresponding areas on the obverse.(#4855) (Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 23FG, PCGS# 4855)

    Weight: 2.49 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
