    1912-D Barber Dime, MS66
    Partly Reflective and Nicely Toned

1912-D 10C MS66 PCGS. CAC. This is an excellent D-mint example with undeniable aesthetic appeal. The glittering, partially reflective surfaces show a moderate layer of finely mottled, green, gold, and blue. Liberty's portrait and the lower wreath show strong detail, while the date and corresponding area on the reverse are a trifle soft. Encapsulated in an old green label holder.

Population Data (3/15): PCGS reports 20 MS66 (two MS66+) with one MS67 finer. NGC accounts for six in MS66, also with one MS67 finer.

Heritage Commentary: Most of the certified population is found in MS62 through MS64 condition. Gems are seldom offered. In Premium Gem condition, the 1912-D is a condition rarity. Acquiring one of the two finer examples will require ample resources and even greater patience.
