1913-S MS 65 NGC. A scarcer issue in all grades and, because of its low mintage and ties to the '13-S quarter, very much in demand by collectors. However, there more uncirculated pieces known than one might expect because of the existence of several small hoards. On the obverse, the bright mint luster is overlaid by lovely golden-rose and sea-green toning, while the reverse retains much of the original mint brilliance. A rock-solid gem of this scarcer issue. Population: 15 in 65, only 4 finer (8/98).
