1915 Barber Dime, MS66
Elusive Condition Rarity

1915 10C MS66 PCGS. This well-defined Premium Gem shows considerable dusky orange, rose, emerald, and violet toning over frosty silver luster on the obverse, complementing mottled patina on the reverse. Housed in a first-generation holder.

Population Data (3/15): PCGS reports 14 in MS66 (two in MS66+) and none finer. NGC shows 21 at the numeric MS66 level and one MS67 finer.

Heritage Commentary: The 1915 Barber dime is considered a common date with a mintage of 5.6 million coins, but the collector seeking a high-grade example will find this issue to be a challenge. In fact, the present Premium Gem was the best Gene Gardner could locate in two decades of searching.
