    Description

    1916 Barber Dime, MS67
    Frosty Final-Year Example

1916 10C MS67 PCGS. CAC. In total, more than 40 million dimes were struck at the Philadelphia Mint in 1916 -- 18+ million were Barber dimes, while 22 million dimes of the new "Mercury" Winged Liberty Head design captivated the public. This Superb Gem Barber dime is an outstanding representative of the final year for the outgoing series. A speckling of olive-gray toning yields to vibrant blue and copper-gold hues at the margins. The strike is needle-sharp and the surfaces are boldly lustrous and frosty. There are no mentionable marks or detractions on this CAC-endorsed coin, which is tied for numerical finest regardless of the service. Population: 9 in 67 (2 in 67+), 0 finer (10/15).(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 23FY, PCGS# 4870)

    Weight: 2.49 grams
