Description
1916-S Barber Dime, MS66
None Certified Numerically Finer
1916-S 10C MS66 PCGS. CAC. Despite a mintage of nearly 6
million coins, this final-year San Francisco issue is scarce at the
Gem grade level and is rarely seen finer. This Premium Gem example
is boldly struck with frosty, untoned mint luster. Some faint
surface grazes on Liberty's cheek preclude an even finer grade,
though the coin appears pristine to the unaided eye. Population: 23
in 66 (5 in 66+), 0 finer (9/14).(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23FZ, PCGS# 4871, GSID# 4397)
Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
Weight: 2.49 grams
ASW: 0.07205oz
