Description

NGC An incredible three-piece set of 1914-S silver coinage, all grading MS 66. The dime exhibits the most noticeable toning of the three, being layered on both sides in gray-lilac and golden hues. Population: 3 in 66, none higher. Certainly the flashiest piece of the set is the low-mintage quarter. Its surfaces display the vibrancy of a newly minted coin and are nearly void of color. Population: 1 in 65, none higher. The shimmering luster and pinpoint striking of the half dollar are equally impressive. A delicate golden toning clings to the devices on both obverse and reverse. Population: 1 in 66, none higher. This illustrious set traces its' pedigree back to Gene Edwards who was well known for obtaining the finest quality available. The new owner will certainly be following in his footsteps. If any lot is deserving of runaway bidding, these three unimprovable Barber issues could be a strong candidate.
