Description
1892-O Barber Half, Elusive MS66
Exceptional First-Year O-Mint Coin
1892-O 50C MS66 PCGS Secure. Ex: Shireman. Even though the
1892-O Barber half is more available grade-for-grade than its
1892-S counterpart, few survivors can compare with this stunning
Premium Gem example, showing a melange of rose, violet, blue, and
aqua patina on well-preserved surfaces front and back. Liberty's
cheek and the other high points are free of mentionable contact,
and the strike is bold even through the normally weak areas of the
reverse. An exceptional coin with great eye appeal. Population: 4
in 66, 2 finer (11/15).From The Dr. Peter and Janice Shireman Collection.(Registry values: N4719)
Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24LG, PCGS# 6462, Greysheet# 6577)
