Description

1893 Barber Half Dollar, Colorful MS66
Two Coins Certified Finer

1893 50C MS66 PCGS. Ex: Shireman. Although the second-year 1893 was saved to a far lesser extent than its Philadelphia predecessor, examples are still somewhat available in MS65 and MS66. The pursuit of one of two finer Superb Gems will require patience, resources, and an understanding that such an offering may not present itself for many years to come. Marvelous violet, blue, and orange tones combine over wonderfully preserved surfaces with vibrant luster that percolates through the patina. Razor-sharp detail and equally strong aesthetic appeal. Population: 12 in 66 (1 in 66+), 1 finer (11/15).
Ex: Harry Laibstain (3/1/2003).
