Spectacular 1893-O Half Dollar, Premium Gem

1893-O 50C MS66 NGC. Although not rare in the absolute sense, the 1893-O is a condition rarity in high Mint State grades. A look at the population reports reveals that the number of 1893-O halves drops significantly above the MS63 grade level. Only five MS66 pieces have been certified by both NGC and PCGS combined, with none finer (8/08). This is a rare opportunity for a collector to obtain one of the finest representatives of this early Barber half.
Pleasing green-gray toning in the periphery encircles the lighter silver-gray centers. The strike is razor-sharp with no notable weakness on either side. Powerful luster radiates beneath the vibrant toning and enhances the eye appeal. This virtually pristine specimen would make a perfect addition to a registry set. (Registry values: N7079)
