Attractive 1894-S Fifty Cent, MS64
1894-S 50C MS64 NGC. Whispers of medium gray concentrate at the peripheries of this partially prooflike near-Gem. This piece is sharply struck save for the usual minor weakness on the upper right shield corner. Numerous die polish lines (as made) are visible on the obverse, as are faint roller marks on the cheek. Minor abrasions on each side deny Gem status. Faint die cracks encircle the reverse lettering, and there is a small die crack on the truncation of the bust.
