1895-O Half Dollar, MS65
Original Frost-White Mint Bloom
1895-O 50C MS65 NGC. The 1895-O is a slightly scarcer date
in Mint State condition, as is evidenced by the paltry number of
coins certified at the Gem grade level; NGC has seen only nine in
MS65 (1 in 65+), and just one finer (6/14).This frosty Gem is a
rare Barber half that is largely untoned (save for a faint golden
tint around the peripheries) and possesses its fully original mint
bloom. As if that wasn't enough to make it special, the design
definition is remarkably sharp throughout, and the surfaces are
quite literally void of any noticeable flaws. This is a truly
exceptional coin and the specialist should bid
