Beautifully Toned and Semiprooflike
1896 50C MS66 PCGS. A remarkably attractive piece with
semiprooflike fields that yield vivid ocean-blue and lavender
toning. The strike is sharp throughout, and there are no abrasions
worthy of mention. This is an outstanding, conditionally rare
example of this Philadelphia issue. PCGS and NGC each report only
two numerically finer pieces. Population: 5 in 66 (3 in 66+), 2
