Outstanding 1897 Half Dollar, MS65
1897 50C MS65 NGC. Despite a mintage of nearly 2.5 million business strikes, the 1897 is surprisingly scarce in high Uncirculated grades. At the MS65 level NGC has certified only 18 pieces, with just five coins finer (8/08). Enticing satiny luster shimmers beneath the pleasing mint frost that covers the untoned surfaces.
