Description

1899 Half Dollar, MS65+
Amazing Overall Quality

1899 50C MS65+ PCGS. CAC. The 1899 is a moderately available issue in the Barber half dollar series, but it is a formidable rarity in this quality with added recognition from PCGS and CAC for quality within the grade. Eye appeal is exceptional, the result of colorful border toning that frames wholly brilliant, thickly frosted interiors. Fully struck on the forecurls, stars, talons, tailfeathers, and the right shield corner. The cheek and adjoining fields are devoid of contact. Entirely deserving of the recognition it has received. Population: 25 in 65 (2 in 65+), 13 finer. CAC: 8 in 65, 6 finer (6/17).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24M6, PCGS# 6483, Greysheet# 6560)
