Description
MS65 1899 Barber Half Dollar
Spectacular Mint Luster
1899 50C MS65 PCGS. Surprisingly few Gems survive of this
date despite the highest production figure of any issue in the
series, over 5.5 million pieces. To date, PCGS and NGC combined
have certified only 32 coins at the MS65 level, and 15 pieces are
finer (7/10).. The present specimen displays radiant, virtually
white surfaces, and sharply struck design elements. A few minor
luster breaks on Liberty's cheek and neck, and some minute contact
marks on the reverse shield, are mentioned for accuracy. An
outstanding Barber half dollar.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24M6, PCGS# 6483, GSID# 6560)
