1899 Barber Half Dollar, MS66
Colorful and Sharply Defined
1899 50C MS66 PCGS. This wonderful Premium Gem Barber half
dollar has the look of an old-time collector coin with variegated
blue, green, and orange hues that surround largely violet interiors
on the obverse. Similar patina appears throughout the reverse mixed
with areas of gleaming mint brilliance. The stars are complete, as
are the fletchings and talons. The top right shield corner features
crisp lines. There are 10 and eight MS66 submissions at PCGS and
NGC, respectively. Two finer Superb Gems are both encased in PCGS
holder (1/16).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24M6, PCGS# 6483, Greysheet# 6560)
