Description
1900 Barber Half, Toned MS66
Shimmering Luster
1900 50C MS66 PCGS. CAC. While readily available in all Mint
State grades up to MS65, the 1900 half is very scarce in Premium
Gem condition and rare any finer. The 4.7 million-piece mintage
failed to yield many outstanding examples, and the population in
high grades seldom shows appreciable change. This wonderfully toned
example displays incredible deep blue and sea-green toning on the
obverse complementing gold, cobalt, and violet on the reverse. The
coin is boldly struck and exhibits frosty underlying luster with
seemingly pristine surfaces. Population: 14 in 66 (1 in 66+), 2
finer (11/15).Ex: U.S. Coins, Inc.; FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2009), lot 3884; FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2011), lot 3851; The Eugene H. Gardner Collection Part III (Heritage, 5/2015), lot 98524.(Registry values: N4719)
