1901-O Barber Half, MS65
Semireflective Fields
1901-O 50C MS65 NGC. The 1901-O Barber half dollar is seldom
seen in any Mint State grade, but examples in Gem condition are
especially scarce. This piece displays satiny luster with subtle
reflectivity in the fields. The usual strike softness affects the
eagle's right (facing) shoulder and talons, as well as select
obverse stars. Amber, violet, and blue border toning surrounds
golden interiors. Abrasions are minimal. Census: 6 in 65 (1 in
